CCP Samcasol 2, 50 MW
Samcasol 1, known as "La Florida", and Samcasol 2, "La Dehesa", are two twin thermosolar plants of 50 MW each. Both plants are located in Alvarado (Badajoz, Extremadura) and La Garrovilla (Badajoz, Extremadura). They have thermal storage of solar energy by tanks of molten salts. MAETEL has carried out the electrical installations of both plants, which have a technology of parabolic cylinder catcher. Both Samcasol I and Samcasol II depend on a control of the solar field by sector and by each loop of solar capturers. The thermal energy charge/discharge transfer is performed by three new technology salt/oil exchangers.
